Imagine you're an 8 week old puppy or kitty. Some big, scary person closes a lid on you leaving you in the dark. All of the sudden, the lid opens and people are screaming at you. This doesn't sound like a great way to start a relationship to me. Watch pet surprise videos on line. You'll see that most often than not, the pets seems scared during the encounter. If you tell your loved one in advance, they'll still be surprised and you can establish a healthy way to introduce the pet to the family that way also. Don't use boxes for the You Tube views, please!
