Why we always talk about kids being a disappointment to their parents and never talk about parents being the real disappointment? It happens way to much to be ignored like this so why?

Maybe it’s because kids aren’t allowed to talk back to adults, and they probably wouldn’t talk about their disappointing parents amongst each other since they likely wouldn’t know what is disappointing to them. I guess adults wouldn’t talk about it either amongst themselves, since you wouldn’t really openly say that you’re a disappointment to your child.
