It’s been divided since America began. Now it’s just on the news 24/7
People lack the self awareness to realize the country is fucked on both ends and like to believe their opposing party is responsible for all the problems. Fuck Republicans and Democrats.
Social media and the news have made it seem more divided than it really is. Honestly that is the truth. I watch the news, see social media and I think America is in the absolute shit hole. I go out in the real world and everyone seems happy, nice, friendly, etc. Its bizarre.
I think most of the world is divided. It’s so sad to see how grey has just been erased, especially on social media. Everything is black or white.
People just get lumped into these groups where a set of traits are automatically attributed to them.
You can be a conservative and be pro choice and support socialised healthcare, for example.
Nothing is on a case by case basis anymore.
Media. Just 99% the media, their 24 hour news cycle, yellow news that sells like hot cakes.
