Literally when somebody sees 2 signs and they say Life or Death, and they always choose Death
A fast vehicle barely managing to keep up with a slow vehicle, or vice versa. A very slow vehicle managing to catch up to a very fast one.
Terminator 2 is guilty of BOTH. Remember that scene in Terminator 2 where the T-1000 is in a truck and Arnold is on a motorcycle? Arnold is barely managing to keep up with the truck. Only managing to overtake at the last second to save John Connor.
That truck is a 1984 Freightliner FLA with a top speed of 60 mph. Arnold is on a 1991 Harley Fat Boy with a top speed of 90 mph. Harleys aren’t fast bikes, but it will still destroy a truck in a chase.
Conversely, the T-1000 is chasing John Connor who is riding on a 1990 Honda XR80 which has a 50 cc engine and a top speed of about 40 mph under perfect conditions. That semi should have obliterated him without any problems.
After fighting off every bad guy and sustaining nothing but a scratch, when receiving medical treatment from the attractive muse for it,you’d think they were having a limb sawn off without anaesthetic.
But at the end of the film when riddled with bullets, poison, shrapnel and being involved in a car/plane/helicopter crash, they kill the baddie with a one liner and walk away.24 hours later there’s not a scratch on them. And no psychological damage either.
When people turn on the TV and the programming goes directly to the beginning of the news or the important report. Where are the endless commercials!?
People can just get stabed and slashed without any further consequences like blood loss or losing muscle control in that area.
