I was gonna say lobster, but everyone beat me to it. So the only other one I can think of is gin. If I recall correctly, at one point in time in England it was considered a poor man’s drink, and they attempted to ban it or taxed the hell out of it because it was seen as a danger to society. You know, because if poor people like gin, it must be the cause of all their problems, right?
