In the United States, there are Jim Crow-era laws that have managed to survive into today as well as other explicitly oppressive laws. Naturally, most of these laws are unconstitutional and could not actually be enforced even if the relevant jurisdictions wanted to enforce them, but they have not been outright repealed. In those relevant jurisdictions, accessing several certain subreddits, such as r/TwoXChromosomes or r/atheism, would be illegal, and in some extreme cases, the mere existence of them would be illegal also.
