Raised a Christian, so I believed homosexuality was disgusting and immoral until around high school. Definitely ashamed of alot of my opinions before I became a skeptic.
i used to be judgy in the same way my parents are, without even thinking about it. probably just cause i was young and didn’t know any better. now, i grew into some of the things they judged people about. i have friends in those categories too. and i keep thinking, how could i have ever been so exclusive…

It turns out privilege and luck exist, and the vast majority of people who aren’t thriving aren’t lazy. They actually are trying to succeed and through a combination of bad luck and disadvantages have ended up in a situation that makes it perpetually less likely for them to succeed even when they’re working really hard.
