Death of a child/sibling. My sister died 16 years ago and we haven’t really celebrated Christmas ever again. It’s more than that though. My mother is a shell with a victim complex now. And my other sister and I can’t talk to her about anything. We are no longer close-knit, if we ever were. The sister that died was the closest to my parents. She was the favorite.

When both parents talk shit to their kids about each other and use the kids to get back at each other. This was my childhood and I hated every minute of it. My daughter is going to be born in December and the only thing I asked of my wife is to never bad mouth me when my daughter is around.
