When my oldest daughter left for university and moved 3,000 km away, I was devastated. The sense of loss was overwhelming. We didn’t have much money and I had no idea when I would see her again. We knew we couldn’t fly her home for Christmas and there was a real possibility she wouldn’t be coming home for the summer if she found work. One of my work colleagues used her air miles to buy me a plane ticket to go out and surprise my daughter with a visit. Many tears and laughter ensued. RIP Joanne – one of the most generous and compassionate people I have known.

Sometimes if I recommend my youngest sister a show she will watch it. And sometimes when I go to where my sister is I can hear the audio of a show I recommended her and that makes me smile. Showing her RWBY (yes RWBY and she’s already done with the 7th volume), ATLA, and recently SheRa was one of my greatest times and we both bonded of our love for the shows
Ever since I started doing yoga, my dogs have been coming closer to me. It’s kinda annoying, but also cute. I wish there was a way I could train them to do yoga with me.
This big, beautiful, deaf, cuddly ball of fur sitting next to me, was 12 hours from euthanization, and I happened to notice her on my way out of the back area of the pound, after looking at another dog. I gave her some attention and walked out into the lobby to ask about the first dog, when I saw her name on the kill list, with a date for the next day.
She’s been with me for 3 years now, and I can’t imagine a day without her.
