Absolutely, there’s overproduction anyways so I don’t think it’ll be a problem. Also if people have more leisure time, they’ll spend more money thus helping the economy
That’s how I work at the moment. It’s improved my productivity dramatically. I’m going away this evening for three nights to a spa and it feels like a good amount of time.
During a part of the lockdown, my company reduced our hours and our pay by 20%, effectively giving us a four-day work week. It sucked having less money, but I got the same amount of work done and was far more relaxed.
I’ve legit been in a depression for years since work changed shifts (among other things) from 4x10s to 5x8s. It’s refreshing mentally to have three days to get shit done, and 4 days to do work. 2 hours more each day feels like nothing when you get an additional 10-15 minute break.
