Disclaimer: Aliens is my favorite sci-fi film and Ripley is one of my favorite characters of all time.
That said, when the Marines are down on sub-level 3 looking for the colonists, Ripley notices that they’re close to the “primary heat exchangers” for the atmosphere processor’s reactor. She asks LT Gorman about the ammo for the pulse rifles, and Burke backs up her assertion that they could breach the exchangers and blow up the reactor.
Granted, Gorman is an idiot, but how are Ripley and Burke nuclear engineers qualified to make that determination? Also, did W-Y really build such a fragile reactor that small arms fire could damage it to that extent? I give a pass for how it’s eventually damaged (the dropship was carrying missiles and who knows what else), but this contrivance, just to build tension, seems like too much.
C3PO, human cyborg relations, is fluent in over 8 million forms of communication and, in fact, was built on Tatooine, yet doesn’t speak Jawa?
Rey being able to magically fly a ship even though she only knew how to drive a cobbled together speeder
In Grandmas Boy why in the fuck does Alex have no proof that he made Demonic? He has no program files related to the game he created and programed on his computer at all.
Just one single demo disk.
In Us when it explains that the government cloned everyone then gave up and just let these clones live under ground in sewage tunnels for that long. Like it makes no sense. If they did clone everyone wouldnt they have at least disposed of them. Also why are they in the sewers if it was an experiment. Plus if everyone is eating those rabbits then there will not be that many. I dont know that has always bothered me.
