Since god made us hungry in the first place, why do we always thanks him for food? Shouldn’t that be his duty?

yeah religions never gonna make sense if you think about it hard enough

We thank our parents when they give us necessities although it is their duty to raise us. I think we thank God and our parents for these type of things because they could just not feed us or give us the necessities we need.

God made us hungry then gave us food and expects thanks? Sounds like a politician.

You used lowercase G on god so I’m assuming you don’t mean Christianity and its various branches. Here’s the way I view some sort of higher power. Some higher power made the universe, created a set of laws/rules, created life throughout said universe, and left it to its own devices. Said creator is always hanging about, watching over its creations, but leaves them to adapt, change, and live their lives the majority of the time.

Not really religious myself but, I imagine the Judeo-Christian answer would be “because of our Fallen nature.” Pretty much all “human problems” were essentially curses bestowed on us after being cast out of the garden.
