Should it be a requirement for cops to wear body cams, why or why not?

I believe so but some cops have actually turned them off when doing something they shouldn’t have.

They’d have to have a forced on type policy for cops for this to work

So if a cop turns off his body cam in the middle of an arrest he should be called into question…

But that’s asking too much.

Yeah, evidence is important, especially when someone’s life depends on it

Yes because they can be held accountable if they’re up to no good

I can see both sides

They are good for reducing the use of excessive force or for providing evidence that excessive force was used

They can also lead to more arrests for silly, trivial violations if cops believe that they will be disciplined for not being tough enough as they ignore minor violations
