Honestly, I don’t mind wearing it anymore. It’s like glasses, after a time you forget you’re wearing them.
(Also I know it pisses some people off, so that’s a bonus)
To avoid being facial recognized.
To sing out loud without looking awkward to other cars
An acquaintance/Facebook friend of mine is a social worker who pays in-person visits to people in rapid succession throughout the day. She says she gets weird looks at stoplights when people see her wearing her mask in her car, but it’s just easier to keep it on all day instead of thoroughly sanitizing her hands so she can touch her face between every single client, only to put her mask on again a couple minutes later.
I don’t leave the house that often, but when I have multiple stops on one journey, I’ll also just leave my mask on in the car for the same reason. It’s easier, and I’m pretty much used to wearing one at this point.
ETA: Also, I did a lot of buy-and-try to figure out at the beginning of the pandemic what kind of mask I prefer and works with my face, and at this point, all my daily wear masks are really comfortable. I’m in the south where the weather hasn’t turned yet, but I always pull my scarf over my face anyway when walking around in the dead of winter, so I suspect I’ll be grateful for the extra facial warmth this year. Hell, I’ll probably still use my masks in the winter post-covid now that I have them. I hate that icy-nose/chapped lips feeling you get walking around barefaced in winter.
People who keep asking this question over and over, why you are so bothered by what other people do that has zero effect on you what so ever?
