Dude. My wife does this. She lays down and is out. Then like majestically wakes up full of energy. It takes me forever to fall asleep and I have to concentrate at it. And when I wake up I feel of death.
Tricks to help:
Shower before bed, cleans the pores and lets your skin breath, also the cooling of your body temperature helps
Have a fan or air filter in the room, the white noise sets your brain in a better state to not let other sounds pop you out of sleep mode
Cut caffeine as early as twelve hours before. Caffeine has a different affect on people, some can drink it right before bed, I have a coworker that won’t drink it after 10am.
No electronic devices an hour before bed, the light causes you synapses to keep firing. Reading hardcopy helps.
Reduce, limit, or abstain from social media. It can cause anxiety and depression(which affect sleep).
Workout for at least 20 minutes a day, relieves stress and tires the body.
Cut carbs 4 hours before. I had not heard of this one, but a trainer at the gym said he cut his carbs at 6pm or he would be up all night.
Drink a certain tea or warm milk before bed.
Have the right pillow setup. Some people like body pillows or different firmness.
Try weighted blankets. I only hear good things.
Honestly I hardly notice when I fall asleep. It just happens so fast, and then the next thing I know, the birds are chirping.
Glorious. But my husband resents me. I can fall asleep within minutes- anytime, anyplace. I once napped on the floor of a Japanese airport and woke up to a full crowd of people staring at me with panicked expressions. I still have no idea why (language barriers) but my guess is that I was twitching, which is normal for me when I’m falling asleep. My husband especially resents that – “I was almost asleep and then you kicked me!”
You have come to the wrong place
