Okay so I was always in the technology business and you just can’t believe how poorly most older (my neighbors) people adapted to the new technology. So when every teen with a phone started texting instead of voice calling most older people acted like they were playing a game and not really communicating. I was mocked once at a party for stating the texting was a legitimate form of communication. In addition, my kids teachers said Wikipedia was not allowed to be used as a source for research because it “wasn’t accurate”. People used to yell at me in the grocery store for actually talking on the phone (not a speaker phone). I could go on and on here.

My grandmother lived in a VERY white city. Probably one of the whitest cities in the country. Whenever we would visit her, we would go and visit the relatives. That would mean going to the cemetery. So we would spend what seemed to me, DAYS, at the catholic cemetery, then on the way to the ice cream place (another tradition), we would stop at this other cemetery to visit this one set of relatives that were there. After years, I asked my grandmother why they weren’t with everyone else and she got real quiet, looked around and whispered, in like a stage whisper, “THEY WERE EPISCOPALIAN!”
So I guess not ranting, but they refused to intermingle with each other, even after they are dead, if they aren’t the right RELIGION, nevermind race.
