Mostly because it does not sound like you. You hear yourself differently.
When i hear myself talk i sound really good!
But in recordings i sound like a dying donkey.
Because the inner ear transmits sound quite differently from what it is. It has been experimentally proven that we hear our own voice about half a tone lower than it is.
