Juries love talking dogs. If a talking dog is an opposing party in any lawsuit, take the first settlement offered.
Most of it is for fraud, or conspiracy to commit some sort of offense. But dressing up as a monster just for kicks is not illegal. I’ll have to rewatch it but some of those cases would be flimsy to prosecute I’m sure, and I’m sure some would be slam dunks.

Netflix has (I believe) almost every season of scooby doo on there. And I’m a lawyer, working from home. I have a ton of TV time on my hands.
I asked myself this question every episode.
Every episode has a villain who is committing an underlying crime. Whether it’s insurance fraud, trying to get rid of the competition, or just terrorizing people, there’s always some crime that’s being committed. Generally, the crime is explained during the reveal.
