Noise cancelling headphones, an electric teapot with tea and cups, a clean and fluffy white sweater, a snuggly kitten (NOT a standoffish kitten), and a journal to write in.

Chocolate!!!

I had a guy friend in college that carried a round an “emergency kit” filled with different types of individually wrapped chocolates. Whenever he would see me or any of girls he was friends with looking upset, he would sit down next to you, hand you the kit, ask if you wanted to talk, and then pretty much just sit quietly for about 20 mins. It worked like a charm at least 80% of the time!

Assuming these are to be stored in people’s homes in the event of a panic attack in the middle of the night or something…

  • An incredibly soft blanket ( you know those blankets that when you touch them you not only can’t stop touching them but you call over someone else to touch it because it’s just that soft and you need someone else to experience the softness)

  • A mandala coloring book with colored pencils

  • gummy bear edibles

  • some fun skin care things like face masks, vanilla scented hand lotions, lavender or cucumber melon soaps, etc (to encourage them to keep taking care of themselves from a hygiene perspective)

  • big fuzzy socks

  • high end sea salt caramel chocolates

  • a hand written card outlining all the reasons they are awesome and appreciated

  • one of those long thin pronged metal head scratchers that makes your whole body tingle when you use them

  • a stress ball, fidget spinner and other little toys to keep their hands busy if anxious

  • a CD with ambient relaxation music

  • some kind of book thats a feel good read and gives you some perspective in life ( like “ 30 Lessons for Living“ for example)

  • an incredibly soft fuzzy bathrobe and sleeping mask

  • an hour long audio recording of Morgan Freeman just calmly telling you in various ways that everything is going to be ok

Their favorite snacks/drinks, a list of the reasons you like them as a person, music, an adult coloring book with markers and a stress ball.
