If everyone has a distinct smell, the smell doesn’t change because two people lived in close proximity. Each retains their own smell.
Dogs, for instance, identify which of their buddies marked a post by sniffing it. Each dog’s distinct scent can be discerned, even if multiple dogs marked it.
My husband says I “smell like [his] bed” which makes me laugh but our scents have definitely mixed but we can still pick out our own individual scents too. It’s sort of like in perfume where there is the initial scent but then the undertones/notes that will linger!
I think they change scent … both 😅😅😅
