Consiglio del giorno che ti può essere utile:
As the title states, everytime we are with family or close friends my wife compulsively either initiates a thought experiment (e.g. would you rather _ or _ ? ) or shares random intimate information about myself or her. Emphasis on poor timing and inability to read a room. This always happens once conversation has died down and all of the “heavy hitter” topics have been worn out. For example, during a recent family get together we had finished dinner and were sitting on the couch making small talk, a silence appeared so she then happily informed everyone that “_ (me) has started taking out his contacts nightly!” It was met with mostly silence as I scrambled to explain what she just said and change topic.
I'm well aquatinted with nervous energy around new friends but this dilemma pops up while with her family and friends whom she is very close with. The topics used to cross my personal boundaries, sharing my info and stories at an inappropriate time or to the wrong crowd, but she's since realized and adjusted (mostly).
Any tips or parallel experiences? Thanks for stopping by.
