There’s a few fun ones from German. The German word for ambulance is directly “sick-car” and a hospital is “sick house”. Mittens are hand-shoes. A lightbulb is glow pear.
Apple – Pomme
Potato – Pomme de Terre
Land – Terre
So, in French, Potato is called a land apple.
Chinchin(ちんちん) as we all know mean penis in Japanese.
But apparently in Italy cin-cin(still pronounced the same way) means “Cheers!”
Really no way to make a funny translation but I’m just going to leave you with that knowledge
企鹅 is penguin in Chinese and it’s direct translation is business goose
