Tater tots, nongshim instant ramen (the best)
I like:
- Kung Pao anything
- All spicy Indian and Thai food
I love Thai food and Indian food a lot, so that’s what I usually make at home. I think Tom Kha, Pad See Ew, Chana Masala, and Aloo Gobi are some of my favorites. I don’t actually eat much western food anymore outside of salads.
Of course various westernized Asian food is delicious to me, but I’ve also become fond of some less conventional stuff – like this Szechuan place I used to live near had this amazing (pickled maybe?) appetizer that I’m pretty sure was beef tendons? And this one Japanese place would do mackerel sashimi but then they’d flash fry the skeleton and bring that back to you to eat, which was remarkably tasty. And properly prepared chicken feet can be great.
I really like a lot of food across Asia but spicy Indian dishes and Korean food are probably my favorite. I love Kimchi. Recently had a new pizza place open locally that makes pizza with Indian ingredients and it’s amazing.
