You are a good person for forgiving her. Sometimes people reach their breaking point when they’re under incredible stress, but no one is owed forgiveness for saying terrible things. Your choice to forgive her is a very kind thing of you.
What a terrible, horrible week that must have been for her. I had a similar circumstance where I lost my 14 year old to congestive heart failure. I never would have recovered as easily (and it wasn’t easy at all) had I missed being there in his final moments. And definitely not at all had I lost a good friend and pushed away another. How lucky she is that you are so understanding and tried to see her as a human before all else. Surely she must need it. I’m very happy to see this update to a very unfortunate circumstance.
