What a piece of trash, him saying the Wal-Mart girl reminds me of you is so insulting and disrespectful of you. Go get a lawyer tomorrow and leave him. Everything he has done show you he does not honor, respect nor care about you. There are good guys out in the world. just please get therapy and wait a year to clear your mind right before you date again. Before I saw your edit my first thought was that he was cheating. Cheaters will pick fights over nothing because they feel guilty and they are trying to justify their cheating by making their partner the bad guy. I am sorry.
So sorry for your hardship. But I hope you know you’re a catch and the problem is him and not you. I’m not saying he’s a bad person but he clearly has some internalized hatred that he needs to deal with
