What is a smell that reminds you of your childhood and why?

The smell you get when you open up an old children’s book, especially a Dr. Suess book.

Fresh cut grass because I would help my dad with the lawn.

The smell of sunscreen always takes me back to happy childhood memories of summer at the pool/beach.

Mangoes.

Mangoes come around during summer and school vacations happened at the same time. A box of Alphonso mangoes can fill an entire living room with its amazing smell. The fresh milkshake/juice made of it, after playing sports with the homies was an amazing time.

And our karate classes (dojo) had a mango supplier downstairs. Entire building smelled of mangoes.
